Its rare to find such a gem like The Ruin — it was the highlight of our time in Hiriketiya, so much so we came back every day for 6 days. Days spent on the sunbeds, watching the surfers, the turtles in the waves, taking surfing lessons, drinking cocktails & eating some of the best food we've had in Sri Lanka. The tuna burger — 10/10!

Wow wow wow! The Ruin is the most stunning venue right on the edge of the ocean in Hiri. The tuna carpaccio & tuna tostados were out of this world & my son had a burger that he said was the best he had ever had. And then the toilets — the coolest I've ever seen. This venue is world class — Can't wait to come back again tomorrow!

Really loved this place. The layout is super cool, with the ruins built right into the space it gives the restaurant a unique vibe and it stands out from everything else around Hiriketiya. The food and drinks were also excellent, especially the tuna burger. Service was spectacular too, friendly and attentive without being over the top.

The Ruin was an amazing dining experience for our family. If you order the butterfly fish, Praneeth will expertly cut this delicious feast for two. The food, service and location is next level. This restaurant can provide a romantic dinner or a special family dinner. Thank you for having us!

Nice and stylish place with incredible view. Was coming every day for drinks — people are nice, place is super clean. Would highly recommend to visit. The atmosphere is unlike anywhere else on the beach.

The food here is just amazing! Had the breakfast hoppers and came back another day for their lunch skewers. It's brilliant value, the waiters are so lovely, and the setting is absolutely stunning. Stunning food and a beautiful spot — highly recommend.
